- He replaces Josep Maria Bartomeu who now only performs the functions of the president.

FC Barcelona have announced the appointment of a new vice-president, Emili Rousaud.
The 53-year-old has been a member of the board of directors since July 2015. During that period, he was partly responsible for the Social Area.
By training, Emili Rousaud is a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration at ESADE Business School, a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a Master in Tax Consulting and Management (AGT) at ESADE Business School.
At a professional level, Rousaud is the founder and the general director of an electricity trading company Factor Energia, a member of the Plenary Session of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona and a member of the Market Agents Committee of the Spanish Electricity Market. Besides, he is the vice-president of the Catalan association Grup de Gestors Energetics (GGE).
Apart from the above mentioned appointment, Barcelona are going to announce the appointment of David Bellver, as a new member of the Sports Area who will be responsible for performing functions linked to the international competitions by UEFA and FIFA.
Barcelona’s former vice-president Jordi Mestre officially left his post in July. After that, Josep Maria Bartomeu was balancing the responsibilities of both the president and the vice-president of the club.
